PROTEOLYTIC ENZYMES vs ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS
Proteolytic enzymes (or Proteases) refer to chymotrypsin, trypsin, bromelain (pineapple enzyme), and papain (papaya enzyme). These enzymes play a key role in many physiological processes including the digestion of many foods. Without proteases the intestinal lining would not be able to digest proteins, causing serious consequences to your health.
Italian researchers have shown that the ability of proteolytic enzymes to reduce inflammation is equal to or superior to four powerful steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: Phenylbutazone, Hydrocortisone, Indomethacin, and Acetyl Salicylic Acid.
Proteolytic enzymes modulate the inflammatory process by a variety of mechanisms, including reducing the swelling of mucous membranes, decreasing capillary permeability, and dissolving blood clot-forming fibrin deposits and microthrombi.
Proteolytic enzymes not only aid in the process of digestion, but are also responsible for driving biological processes necessary for your body to build raw materials, circulate nutrients, and eliminate unwanted chemicals.
These enzymes have the ability to break down the cell walls of harmful organisms and unwanted wastes such as toxins, cellular debris, and undigested proteins in the body. In this way, protease aids and supports our immune system.
Research shows that your natural enzyme production declines by the age of 20. Studies futher reveal that, every 10 years, your body’s production of enzymes decreases by 13 percent. So by 40, you typically have lost 25% of your enzyme production, and by age 70, you may only be producing 1/3 of the normal amount of enzymes.

Take 5 capsules, twice per day, on empty stomach. May be taken first thing in the morning and before bed. This may be taken at the same time as Nervana Blue. For persons suffering from acid reflux or GERD, begin with a dosage of 2 capsules, twice per day, then slowly work up to 5 capsules.
This is very effective in cotrolling neuropathy pain when used in conjuction with Boswellia Complex.
Who Should Take Proteozyme IFC
- Anyone diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy
- Anyone suffering from chronic pain (especially fibromyalgia)
- Anyone suffering from chronic inflammatory conditions
- Anyone afflicted with muscle, joint pain or pain from arthritis
- Anyone recovering from injuries or surgery
- Anyone suffering with digestive problems (gas, bloating, acid reflux, GERD, IBD, IBS)
Protease IFC is safe to take in conjunction with prescription medications. It will not interfere with any current medication you may be taking.
How Long Should I Stay On Protease IFC:
Nerves are very susceptible to irritation and injury from inflammation. Inflammation can be brought on by diabetes, medications, poor diet, lack of sleep and stress to name a few. We recommend staying on Protease IFC along with Boswellia until your pain levels are very low. Then it is best to stay on a low dose of Protease IFC (2 caps, twice per day), until your nerves have reached a full recovery.
