PERIPHERAL NERVES: The Slowest Healing Tissue

Posted by John Coppola on 08 Aug, 18

24 Million people (8% of the U.S. Population) suffer with Burning, Numbness, Tingling, Cramping, Or Sharp Pain to their hands or feet. This condition is called peripheral neuropathy and it’s quickly becoming one of the most chronic and debilitating diseases in the U.S..

Peripheral neuropathy can occur at any age, but most commonly affects older adults. With a vast array of causes from diabetes to chemotherapy and even many medications, more and more people are making trips to the neurologists, only to receive this dreaded diagnosis. Then, they’re told peripheral nerve damage is permanent and they just have to live (and suffer) with this condition for the rest of their lives.

If you or a loved one suffers with the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy (burning, numbness, tingling, cramping, sharp pain, even loss of balance leading to falls) then, you know this type of prognosis leaves you in a state of despair. You may have even lost all hope... but here’s the Good News...

“NEW RESEARCH REVEALS DAMAGED NERVES CAN BE REPAIRED.”

The National Institute of Health says, “Peripheral nerves have the ability to regenerate as long as the underlying nerve cell has not been killed.”

So, you’re asking yourself, “Why doesn’t my neurologist know about this?”

According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), “It Takes Over 23 Years For Well-Researched Information To Get It Into Clinical Practice.”

The Rate of Healing a Peripheral Nerve:

So, where does the common misconception, ‘Peripheral nerves do not heal’, come from?

The confusion arises from the fact that peripheral nerves are one of the slowest tissues to heal in the body. As a result, the process of repair and regeneration is a very slow one, but not impossible.

In fact, research reveals that a Peripheral Nerve Will Only Heal 1 Inch Per Month. That certainly makes for slow progress when you take into consideration the fact that peripheral nerves make up more than 90,000 miles of sensation.

Nerve Recovery and Regeneration

Following nerve injury, the nerve will try to repair itself by regenerating nerve cells or sprouting new branches of peripheral nerves.

These branches will attempt to grow until it is able to make a connection (reinnervation) with muscle and/or skin. If they can make a complete connection, then recovery of muscle function or skin sensation will occur. This means that muscles can be re-strengthened, and balance regained or in the case of nerve-skin reinnervation, then abnormal feelings of numbness, burning, tingling, pins & needles, itchy, or crawling sensations will stop.

For this to occur, it’s imperative for the nerve to have access to appropriate building blocks which aid in the repair and regeneration process. So, which building blocks are those exactly? There are critical B vitamins and antioxidants that are crucial in aiding the nerve during the regeneration process. Once a nerve has been damaged, we must assist by supplying the nerves with the necessary nutrients.

In the scientific literature, we discovered that complexing critical B vitamins, such as Benfotiamine, Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, Methylcobalamin and Folic acid in conjunction with Alpha Lipoic Acid (a powerful antioxidant ) had proven capabilities to repair the damage of peripheral nerves, as well as, protect the nerves from future damage and support proper communication.

Over 100 clinical studies have been published in Medical journals proving that the combination of B1, B6, B12, Folic Acid and Alpha Lipoic Acid can assist with repairing damaged peripheral nerves and decrease symptoms of peripheral Neuropathy.

Most Effective Formula for Nerve Support

NUPHORIA cm Gold is by far the most effective formula on the market designed to alleviate neuropathy symptoms, while assisting with nerve repair and regeneration.

NUPHORIA cm Gold is loaded with B vitamins. However, ordinary, over the counter B vitamins will not work. This is because B vitamins come in many

different forms. To achieve nerve repair and regeneration, very specific forms of the B vitamins must be used in very specific balanced formulation.

Using the appropriate form and correct amount of the B vitamins makes all the difference in the level of effectiveness for a nerve support supplement. After studying the numerous research studies, we developed our formulation, NUPHORIA cm Gold.

Many nerve support companies will use the least expensive B vitamins, which, typically are the wrong forms. As a result, nerve repair does not occur. We’ve devised a proven formulation, backed by over 100 clinical studies shown to effectively alleviate the symptoms of neuropathy, like, numbness, burning, tingling, pins & needles, prickly sensation and even pain in the feet and hands. In our clinic, we generally classify our neuropathy patients in 1 of 3 categories:

a) Slow Healers

b) Moderate Healers

c) Fast Healers

Fast Healers typically will notice improvement on some level within the first 30 days of taking NUPHORIA Gold. 20% of our patients fall into this category.

Moderate Healers will usually experience a noticeable change in their symptoms in approximately 60 days after beginning NUPHORIA Gold. This means that it will take close to 60 days before symptoms begin to alleviate. Close to 50% of our patients fall into this category.

Slow Healers will take anywhere from 90 – 120 days before any changes in neuropathy symptoms will occur. 20% of our patients fall into this group. Remember nerves only regenerate (grow) at the rate of 1 inch per month. Often, patients who land in this category have several other factors that decrease the healing of the nerve to an even slower rate. Some of those factors are:

  • Taking Statin (cholesterol lowering) meds
  • Taking Calcium Channel Blocker Medications for Hypertension (Amlodipine, Norvasc, Nifedipine) list of medications that can cause slow healing
  • Taking Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics (Cipro, Levequin, Avelox, Floxacin, Moxifloxacin)
  • Chronic Alcohol use (drinking more than 2 drinks per week of any type of alcoholic beverage)
  • Standard American Diet
  • Uncontrolled / elevated glucose levels above 120
  • Ongoing Chemotherapy
  • Excessive medications (15+)

If you suspect you may fall into the slow healer group...don’t be discouraged. It doesn’t mean you can’t recover. It simply means it is going to take longer for you. Remember the story of the ‘Tortoise and the Hare’? Slow and steady will still get you to the finish line and isn’t that what’s really important? The key is not to give up too early.

Otherwise, you may be dooming yourself to the misery of suffering with neuropathy symptoms.

For those of you who are doing the math, you may have noticed that the 3 Healing categories added together only total 90%. What about the remaining 10%? We’ve found 10% of the people are extremely ill and have neglected their health far too long that their ability to heal has become severely compromised. As a result, they don’t respond. 10% is a relatively small number when you’re looking at success rates.

Take a look at what William’s Experience:

I bought NUPHORIA Gold online, and after 30 days of taking it, I hadn’t noticed a single change in my symptoms. I still had burning feet waking me up at night. During the day, I had horrible cramping and pain in my calves and feet. I emailed the doctors and they asked about my health history. I told them that I suffer from an autoimmune disorder called Lupus and I was taking a

steroid medication and 2 blood pressure medications, as well. The doctor emailed me back and told me to be patient.

With my medical history, she anticipated I was going to be a Very slow healer and probably wouldn’t see any changes in my symptoms for about 4 to 6 months. She also said, if by the end of the 6 months, I didn’t see any change at all, she would give me a full refund. Well, I wasn’t thrilled with this answer but figured, ‘what the heck’, at least I can get a refund if it doesn’t work. The reality was, I had no other alternative and didn’t want to live like this anymore.

Well 3 months went by...No Change. 5 months went by and no change. At the very end of the 6 month, I noticed my burning had decreased by 25% and I was actually, sleeping 3 nights out of the week without my symptoms waking me up. This may not seem big, but it was a huge change for me, so I stuck with the NUPHORIA Gold.

I’m pleased to say, after 8 months of taking NUPHORIA, I get a great night’s sleep...EVERY NIGHT! No more burning, cramping or pain in my legs. I came so close to quitting and giving up, especially around month number 4. Looking back now...I’m Sure Glad I Stuck With It.

A Note From Doctor Monteiro :

We’ve seen thousands of neuropathy cases ranging from mild to very severe. Most cases will begin to show signs of improvement within the fist couple of months. In my 20+ years of experience, there are very few cases that don’trespond at all. Typically, what happens is that a person gets impatient.

We all want results...like – yesterday...and I get it...I really do, especially when you’re suffering. However, when dealing with nerves, Fast results... are simply not a realistic expectation.

Nerves Heal Slowly. I can’t say this enough. Don’t give up after just 1 or 2 months of taking NUPHORIA Gold. Many of you have had peripheral neuropathy for years; along with medical complications, just like William. The majority of people who fail to see results are the ones that quit early on...after just 1 or 2 months. Stick with the NUPHORIA for at least 6 months. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. And, if you feel like you need some guidance, simply set up a telephone consult with us. We’re able to help many people navigate the murky waters of neuropathy recovery through telephone consults.
